tvN’s variety series Amazing Thursday delivered a steady stream of star-powered entertainment through its finale. The spin-off of Amazing Saturday premiered on March 19 and ran for several energetic weeks.

After keeping viewers’ Thursday nights lively, Amazing Thursday closed with its April 9 broadcast. In the finale, Boom’s deft hosting, the quick-witted interplay of Lee Yong-jin, Jeong I-rang, Seo Eun-kwang and Jo Jjaezeu, and the guests’ buoyant chemistry combined for a laughing, feel-good sendoff.

When AlphadriveOne’s Sangwon and member Sinlong launched into a fiery rendition of BLACKPINK’s “Kill This Love” on the Singku Karaoke stage, Jo Jjaezeu was visibly moved to tears. He revealed a personal connection — Sangwon had once worked part-time at his shop — and recalled Sangwon’s promise: “I’ll come back proudly in front of you, like the boss.” The moment read like a dream come true and resonated with the audience.

Transit Love 4 stars Kwak Min-kyung and Seong Baek-hyun stunned the studio with a daring performance. While Seong sang, Kwak performed a traditional Korean dance; an unexpected contact with a sensitive area during the routine surprised viewers and had Kim Ji-yoo laughing: “Does Korean dance include moves like that?”

On the gap-fill segment Bbangkku Karaoke, the show dug up nostalgic tracks such as Im Sang-ah’s “Musical” and Park Myung-soo’s “Prince of the Sea.” Team Jeong’s Kim Jang-hoon lit up when he recognized Firetruck’s “Last Night’s Story,” confidently filling in the blanks — only to have the production review the recording and rule his pronunciation (rendered as “ppati”) incorrect. Flustered but undeterred, Kim later performed his trademark Dokdo kick, turning embarrassment into laughs.

The episode’s climactic showdown pitted Team Yong against Team Jeong in Bbangkku Attack Karaoke. The lead seesawed until Team Yong struck six blanks with Kim Jong-seo’s “Beautiful Restraint,” overtaking Team Jeong and securing the win. Team leader Lee Yong-jin said his VIP picks prioritize entertainment value and named Kwak Min-kyung — whose dance briefly halted recording — the episode’s VIP.

As a spin-off, Amazing Thursday offered a compact mix of music, games, talk and mukbang segments that consistently delivered. The staple gap-fill Bbangkku Karaoke matched expectations for humor and suspense, Bbangkku Attack Karaoke raised the stakes with surprise targeting, and Singku Karaoke showcased a range of genres — ballad, rock and dance — giving guests room to shine.

Hosts Boom, Lee Yong-jin, Jeong I-rang, Seo Eun-kwang and Jo Jjaezeu steered the show with sharp banter and well-timed comic instincts. Guest appearances from TXT’s Yeonjun and Taehyun, Solo Hell Season 5’s Kim Min-ji and Shin Hyun-woo, along with veterans like Kim Jang-hoon, KCM and the couple Kim Hae-joon and Na Bo-ram, underscored the program’s broad, family-friendly appeal.
