Hanam — By Park Seong-hoon The girl group Fifty Fifty has been named promotional ambassadors for Hanam City. The city said on the 19th that it held an appointment ceremony on the 18th at the Hanam Sports Complex office in Misa 1-dong.
Mayor Lee Hyun-jae attended the ceremony with Fifty Fifty members Yewon, Athena, Kina and Moon Chanel, and Jeon Hong-jun, CEO of their agency Attract. At the event, Mayor Lee presented each member with a plush toy of Hanam’s mascots, Hanam-i and Bangul-i.
After the ceremony, Mayor Lee showed the group a news clip on his tablet about Eric Trump, the son of Donald Trump, visiting Hanam and touring the K-Star World site in Misa-dong. The members responded with applause.
Jeon said, “Six months ago in Singapore, a reporter gave Eric Trump a CD with our members’ handwritten notes. I heard he was delighted and even asked whether the signatures were real. It seems Hanam and our members have a special connection.”
Mayor Lee said, “By road, Hanam is only about 20 minutes from Seoul’s Gangnam district. We are building an entertainment ecosystem, including venues where domestic and international artists can perform. I consider Hanam’s brand to be closely tied to Fifty Fifty and Attract, and we will support them actively.”
He added, “We look forward to the day you top the U.S. Billboard charts, and we will work to make Hanam worthy of that stature.”
Meanwhile, Attract opened the Attract Misa Center in Misa-dong last month as a training facility for artists. The center will provide education and training for trainees preparing to debut as idols.
