Jin says she maintains a steady self-care routine, keeping up with workouts and English lessons. She recently published an essay titled I Will Endure and has been building a parallel career as a writer, taking on new projects even amid a busy schedule. Jin describes how the book went into a fourth printing and shares behind-the-scenes stories from the writing process, offering frank reflections on taking creative risks.

She also opens up about her life on Jeju Island. Jin takes part in book clubs, sauna gatherings and marine trash cleanups, saying these activities helped her settle into island life. She brings laughs to the studio with stories from a Jeju sauna group whose members are mostly in their 60s.

Jin reveals that she eventually discovered many members of the sauna group are major landowners on Jeju. She recounts how she built rapport, became part of their group chat and even received pocket money on her birthday — an anecdote that surprised her fellow guests.

She also revisits the start of her acting career. Jin says she originally prepared for dance-school entrance exams but, unexpectedly, applied to theater and film programs instead. With a short preparation period, she earned admissions offers from four schools, including the Seoul Institute of the Arts, and she shares the methods and memories that helped her succeed.

Jin recounts behind-the-scenes moments from filming Park Hyo-shin's music video "That Ordinary Man," explaining why a planned kiss scene disappeared at the last minute and amusing the studio with the unexpected realities of a shoot.

Jin Seo-yeon will share her candid account of life as an actor, author and active Jeju community member on the March 11 episode of Radio Star, airing Wednesday at 10:30 p.m.
