SPOTV News — Hye-won Jeong. EVEN is staging a comeback after consolidating into a five-member lineup, and fans are watching closely to see how the retooled group will present itself.

EVEN will release their first single, "Spit," on the 20th and begin full-scale promotions as a five-member act. The project signals the group's intent to evolve into a more confident hip-hop outfit that projects its voice with conviction.

The single contains two tracks — the title cut "Spit" and the B-side "Stay" — and all members are credited as co-lyricists, embedding their personal stories into the songs.

"Spit" is particularly significant as the group's first major release since reorganizing into five members. In December, Keita, Park Han-bin, Lee Jeong-hyeon, Moon Jeong-hyun and Park Ji-hoo signed exclusive contracts with Jellyfish Entertainment and agreed to continue group activities. Yoo Seung-eon and Ji Yun-seo, however, opted not to renew and returned to their original agency, prompting the new five-member configuration.

As the group's first release since the departures of Yoo Seung-eon and Ji Yun-seo, the single is being viewed as a milestone for the reconfigured lineup. With the personnel change, listeners expect the group to deliver music that feels more candid and mature.

The members say they deepened their cohesion while preparing for the five-member relaunch, determined to present a stronger, more unified identity through "Spit."

EVEN originated as a derivative group from Mnet's audition program "Boys Planet." Over the past two years and three months, they built a devoted following with genre-spanning releases and consistently solid performances.

Fans and critics alike will be watching to see what identity EVEN defines as a five-member group with this new release.
