Chef Kim Do-yoon, 51, revealed that he’s living with his girlfriend.
MBC’s Save Me! Homes (hereafter Homes) airs on the 26th at 10 p.m. In this episode, chefs who appeared on the Netflix series Black-and-White Chefs return to inspect their restaurants and homes, picking up where last season’s Black-and-White District left off.
Buoyed by the strong response to Season 1, the show returns upgraded as Black-and-White District Season 2. Following the original season’s lineup that included Kim Sook, Chef Yoon Nam-no, and Chef Park Eun-young, the series brings back the stars of Black-and-White Chefs. Variety show staple Fabri, chef Lee Chan-yang—nicknamed the “Rebellious Genius”—and entertainer Yang Se-hyung tour Sinsa-dong, where many of the Black-and-White Chefs’ restaurants are clustered, and deliver an on-the-ground report.
The episode opens the doors to Michelin one-star chef Kim Do-yoon’s Sinsa-dong restaurant, highlighting his singular focus on noodles. Viewers get a look at his expensive noodle-making equipment and a trove of rare ingredients—his private treasure chest. After his elimination from Black-and-White Chefs Season 2, Kim added a signature dish called Anseong Jaemyeon to his regular menu. Yang Se-hyung, Fabri, and Lee Chan-yang taste the dish on camera, and their evaluations—said to rival those of judge An Seong-jae—leave Chef Kim visibly on edge. Whether Anseong Jaemyeon wins them over is left for viewers to decide.

For the first time, the program also opens Chef Kim’s home in Seongsu-dong. The house is filled with high-end kitchen tools and specialty ingredients, offering a clear window into his deep commitment to recipe development. Cameras also reveal a closet packed with chef uniforms, from his Black-and-White Chefs outfit to his Michelin-star jacket, and Kim shares behind-the-scenes stories from his time on the show. Intimate moments suggesting he lives with his girlfriend add a warm, humanizing touch.
For the final stop, the trio visits Seongsu-dong to see first-generation makeup artist–turned-foodie Park Tae-yoon’s culinary hideaway. Park—who recently appeared as “First Man” on Just Makeup—talks about his stint as a full-meal chef on Black-and-White Chefs Season 1. In this episode he reprises a dish he previously submitted to the competition and later withdrew; the same dish once dominated social media feeds and won celebrity fans. Viewers will be left wondering what the dish is and eager for the reveal.
