[Sports Today reporter Lim Si-ryeong] Fantagio has issued an official apology over tax-related controversies involving its artists Cha Eun-woo and Kim Seon-ho.

Fantagio posted a statement on its website saying, \"We deeply apologize for causing concern over tax-related controversies involving our artists.\"

The company added, \"As the organization responsible for managing and supporting our artists' overall activities, we failed to conduct sufficient prior checks on this matter and acknowledge shortcomings in our management processes. We take this seriously and will reflect on our shortcomings.\"

Fantagio said it is conducting a full review of its internal management systems and decision-making processes. The company is pursuing concrete reforms — including strengthening pre-verification procedures with enhanced tax and legal reviews — and pledged to carry out these measures diligently while continuously improving internal controls to prevent similar incidents from recurring.

Earlier, Cha Eun-woo was notified by the Seoul Regional Tax Office's Investigation Division 4 that it would seek roughly 20 billion KRW (about 15 million USD) in additional taxes over alleged income tax evasion through his mother's single-person company prior to his military enlistment. Kim Seon-ho has also faced past allegations of tax evasion involving a family company.

Afterwards, Kim Seon-ho said he completed the company's closure procedures. Cha Eun-woo announced on the 8th that he has paid all taxes in full.
