[MyDaily = Reporter Park Seoyeon] Jung Ji-woo, the elder sister of BTS member J-Hope, revealed that she underwent in vitro fertilization and experienced a chemical miscarriage.
On April 4, Jung uploaded a video to her YouTube channel titled "Long Time No See — Updates I Couldn't Share."
She said the IVF news was the hardest to share. Because it was so personal, she hesitated at first. Jung explained she took a five- to six-month break from creating content to rest and reset her body and mind. Under heavy work-related stress, she ultimately made a family-centered decision and, after careful consideration, proceeded with IVF.
She added that she began treatment in November of last year. Her first embryo transfer took place only recently and did not succeed — she experienced a chemical miscarriage. Though the initial attempt ended in disappointment, Jung said she is recovering and staying healthy, maintaining a resilient spirit.

Jung noted that such losses are relatively common and that she tried to accept it calmly, though it was difficult. "I'm really okay now. I'm focusing on taking care of my body, so please don't worry," she said.
Jung Ji-woo is a YouTuber with 2.38 million subscribers and also works as a model, entrepreneur and influencer. She appeared on MBC's I Live Alone in the episode featuring J-Hope and appeared in the Netflix series The Influencer. She married a university professor in May 2021.
