That day, 1979-born, single Lee Jung-jin went on a blind date with Pyo Shin-hye, a woman from Canada who impressed the cast with her fluent Korean.
Lee said he has plenty of experience with international relationships. \"I've dated people from Brazil and France,\" he said. \"Even when they didn't speak Korean, we figured things out.\"
Pyo described a varied career — from teaching English to voice acting. \"I work as an instructor and a voice actor,\" she said, and then playfully listed foods that prove her \"Korean palate\": ssanghwa tea, ginger tea, plum tea, omija tea, black garlic extract, ginseng and red ginseng.
She asked Lee about his zodiac and revealed she was born in 1991. She added, \"I really can't date men who like to drink.\" Lee, surprised, admitted, \"I used to like soju,\" which drew laughs and a flustered reaction.
When Lee asked if she'd ever dated an Asian man, Pyo answered matter-of-factly, \"Of course,\" prompting Lee to respond with a teasing, slightly sharp quip that lightened the mood.
The pair then moved to a restaurant. While eating muk (acorn jelly), Pyo demonstrated flawless chopstick technique, earning audible admiration from those at the table.

Single 1987-born Seo Jun-young met senior actor Ryu Seung-soo, a colleague from three shared projects. Ryu — who observed Seo's meeting with weathercaster Jeong Jae-kyung — advised him on first-date strategy: \"Make her laugh. Wit matters.\"
Seo said he values someone who appreciates the small things. \"When we talk, she says 'thank you' a lot,\" he said. \"That made me like her.\"
The two then browsed furniture at a store. When Seo hesitated over a bed, Ryu quipped, \"The bed is the most important piece for newlyweds. Surprisingly, you spend more time in bed than on the sofa,\" prompting racy laughter.
Seo asked, \"Don't couples sleep holding each other after they marry?\" Ryu shot down the romanticism: \"Hold each other? Even if you hug and say 'I love you,' you end up drifting apart in your sleep. That's marriage — it's just tiring.\" He teased, \"Decide on the bed while holding Jae-kyung's hand. From now on I won't call her Jae-kyung — I'll call her sister-in-law,\" drawing more laughs.
Later, Jeong attended a play starring Seo. She was visibly moved, even tearing up, and handed him a bouquet after the performance.
The pair then headed to a pojangmacha for Jeong's favorite tofu dish. Seo recalled his family's reaction to the pairing: \"My niece asked, 'Do I get an aunt?' When they asked Jeong's job and I said 'weathercaster,' my mom applauded,\" he said.
Seo also suggested, \"There's a restaurant near my place I go to all the time — let's go there.\" Jeong teased back, \"Are you inviting me to your home? That's... I should tell my mom,\" keeping the exchange light and playful.
