Italian premium olive oil producer Tenuta Sant'Ilario is opening a pop-up shop for South Korean consumers.
Tenuta Sant'Ilario will operate the pop-up from the 24th through the 30th on the B1 level food hall at Shinsegae Department Store's Gangnam location.
More than a retail stall, the pop-up frames olive oil as a culinary experience and a tabletop object—a lifestyle proposition rather than just a grocery purchase.
Founded more than 130 years ago in Italy's central Abruzzo region, Tenuta Sant'Ilario is an estate-style producer that oversees every stage from cultivation and harvest to pressing. The company preserves freshness by cold-pressing olives within 24 hours of harvest at temperatures below 27°C (about 81°F). It has received multiple awards from Flos Olei, the guide often likened to the Michelin of olive oil.
During the pop-up, visitors can buy the brand's best-selling items at promotional prices. Puro Extra Virgin Olive Oil is an unfiltered blend made from first-harvest olives; its fresh aroma and flavor shine when drizzled over bread or salad.
The Denoccolata Extra Virgin Olive Oil comes in striking ceramic packaging, making it as suitable as a decorative object for the kitchen or dining table as it is a pantry staple.
The pop-up includes a tasting corner where visitors can sample the different flavor profiles. The setup is designed for everyone—from first-time olive oil users to seasoned gourmets seeking a signature bottle. For those who find straight oil tastings intense, sample bread is provided.
The brand paid careful attention to the space. Tenuta Sant'Ilario collaborated with space-design firm OTI to stage a live flower demonstration using olive branches and seasonal blooms, illustrating how olive oil can extend its influence beyond the kitchen into living spaces.
There are promotions for visitors: customers who purchase at the pop-up receive a fabric pouch, and purchases over 50,000 KRW (approximately $37.50) include an additional oil spoon.
Tenuta Sant'Ilario is also running a lucky draw for customers who sign up on the official mall and join SNS events. The first 500 participants will be eligible for prizes such as olive oil, air purifiers, and eco bags.
Having been featured in European luxury retailers such as La Rinascente in Milan, Tenuta Sant'Ilario launched formally in Korea in 2026 through local partner Bizevano.
A company representative said, \"This pop-up presents olive oil not merely as an ingredient but as an experience. We hope customers will taste and feel this premium culinary lifestyle for themselves.\"
After the Shinsegae pop-up, Tenuta Sant'Ilario will continue at House of Shinsegae in Cheongdam from May 8 to 14.
