Translation result.배우 [Herald Economy=Reporter Lee Myung-soo] Actress Shim Hye-jin said she has closed the chapter on the rural life in Gapyeong that has occasionally appeared on TV and moved to a home closer to Seoul.

According to Xportsnews, Shim was a guest on the May 11 broadcast of SBS Power FM’s special “Power30,” marking the station’s 30th anniversary. Shim once hosted the radio program “Cine Town.”

Asked about her recent life, Shim said, “I moved from Gapyeong to a location closer to Seoul,” and added that she has cleared out her roughly 3,000 pyeong (about 2.45 acres) Gapyeong country property.

She explained, “The distance, limited access to hospitals and cultural activities made things difficult, so I moved to be closer and to communicate more,” signaling that she plans to be more active now that she’s left rural living behind.

Shim also said, “Lately I’ve been doing a lot of housework. You might not notice, but I actually do quite a bit.” Host Park Ha-sun replied, “I’ve heard from actors who live nearby that she invites people over for parties and really enjoys it. I want to go, too,” expressing her envy.

Shim previously opened her Gapyeong property to viewers on SBS’s “Good Sunday – Barefoot Friends.” The estate drew attention for its scale and amenities—about 3,000 pyeong (roughly 2.45 acres)—evoking the feel of a Hollywood home.
