Hanwha Life Esports pushed its winning streak to eight games with a 2-1 victory over T1.
On May 1 at 7 p.m., Hanwha Life Esports defeated T1 in the second round of the 2026 LCK at the LCK Arena in LoL Park, Jongno-gu, Seoul.
After dropping the first-round meeting to T1, Hanwha evened the score in round two’s opener and extended its streak to eight straight wins — a run that now includes victories over all nine LCK teams. T1’s bid for a five-game streak ended, leaving them at 6-4 on the season.
T1 grabbed early momentum in Game 1. 'Faker' Lee Sang-hyeok repeatedly roamed top and bottom to rack up kills, while 'Doran' Choi Hyun-joon used Varus to assert dominance in the top lane and secured a triple kill during a 14-minute skirmish.
Hanwha answered back. At 25 minutes, 'Kanavi' Seo Jin-hyeok’s aggressive invade cut down T1’s support and mid, and Hanwha turned the numerical advantage into a Baron. T1 paid the price trying to contest it. With the momentum, Hanwha won a decisive 4-vs-5 team fight at 32 minutes and closed out the set.
Game 2 followed a similar script early, with Hanwha’s trademark skirmishing keeping them just ahead. T1 attempted to scale Aphelios in the bot lane behind a Twisted Fate mid, but the plan failed to materialize. Hanwha then overcommitted to Baron; T1 punished them by picking off four Hanwha players. Although Hanwha retained the buff, the casualties allowed T1 to swing the game.
In the back-and-forth that followed, T1 completed the comeback. At 29 minutes they scored an ace in front of the dragon, secured Baron, and pushed to destroy the Nexus at 34 minutes.
Stung by the loss, Hanwha set the tone from the start of Game 3. Kanavi’s Vi hit a perfectly timed gank, and 'Zeus' Choi Woo-je continually made strong plays on Jayce. T1 couldn’t mount an effective response and kept losing ground. At 27 minutes Hanwha picked off four opponents, claimed Baron, and finished the game on the next push.
