Guri City will celebrate Family Month in May by hosting the 2026 Guri Canola Flower Festival for three days, May 8–10, at Guri Hangang Citizen Park. The big spring event brings together blooming canola fields, live performances, interactive workshops, and plenty of food all in one spot.

Under the theme “Canola in Full Bloom, Guri’s Spring,” this year’s festival centers on the swaths of canola along the Han River and a variety of other seasonal flowers, offering a range of colorful programming.

The lineup includes family- and teen-friendly workshops, photo ops, and booths from local vendors, and organizers say the event is expected to give the local economy a welcome boost.

On the festival’s main lawn stage, popular singers and local artists will perform. On the evening of the 8th, Lee Ji-young and Shin Seung-tae will appear, and the opening ceremony on the 9th will feature Park Sang-chul, Jadu, and Yang Ji-eun

At the closing ceremony on the 10th, Sungmin, HYNN, Ahn Seong-hoon, and Jeon Yu-jin will take the stage, and the festival will wrap up with a dazzling fireworks show.

Notably, the citizen-run Guri Canola Flower Song Festival on the 9th invites locals to perform, while the Youth Dance Festival on the 10th aims to ramp up audience participation and excitement.

To make visiting easier, organizers will run a free shuttle bus connecting the festival grounds and the flower fields during the event, and some local bus routes will be extended to the park.

The city is encouraging visitors to use public transit to ease traffic congestion and notes that the park is within walking distance of Jangja Lake Park.

Park Seong-hee, head of the arts team, said, “We hope the canola fields, live performances, and interactive programs will give residents and visitors memorable spring days.”
