[Tour Korea = Reporter Yu Kyung-hoon] On the afternoon of May 5, many visitors unwound at the green tea foot-soak area of the 49th Boseong Dahyang Festival, immersing their feet in warm baths infused with the fresh vitality of tea leaves.

The Boseong Dahyang Festival, South Korea's flagship tea-culture celebration, opened on May 1 under the slogan "Boseong Matcha! Embracing Youth, Embracing the World!"

This year’s program focused on hands-on experiences that marry traditional tea culture with modern flair. Activities like making Boseong tea, green therapy, green tea foot soaks, and the Dasinje Flag Parade drew enthusiastic responses from visitors.

The festival wrapped up on May 5.

A Boseong County official said the event coincided with the May golden holiday, so crowds exceeded expectations from day one. "It was wonderful to see people enjoying the programs," the official added. "We'll do our best to ensure visitors can safely savor the rich flavor of Boseong tea and the full pleasures of spring through the festival's close."
