Leadoff hitter Park Seong-han opened the scoring in the first inning with a double to right-center off KT starter Caleb Boshelli. The hit extended Park’s hitting streak to 22 games since the regular season began.

SSG immediately added a run on Jeong Jun-jae’s double to left-center, and with one out and the bases loaded, Choi Ji-hoon’s groundout pushed the lead to 2-0.

Choi Jeong, SSG’s primary power threat, homered to left-center in the third to make it 3-0 and then belted a solo shot to left in the sixth to put the game away. The two homers marked the 50th multi-homer game of his professional career.

Boshelli, who entered the day 4-0 with a 0.78 ERA, lasted five innings, allowing eight hits, three walks and four runs to take his first loss.

Left-hander Kim Geon-woo held the KT lineup to three hits while striking out seven over seven innings to earn his third win of the season and remain unbeaten.
