The Election Management Committee of the Democratic Party's Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province branch announced on May 7 the results of primaries for 13 provincial council districts.
The committee selected the following candidates: Nam Kwan-woo (Jeonju 8th district); Seo Nani (Jeonju 9th); Kim Nam-gyu (Jeonju 11th); Kim Dong-gu (Gunsan 2nd); Na Jong-dae (Gunsan 3rd); Han Jun-hee (Gunsan 4th); Choi Jong-o (Iksan 1st); Jo Eun-hee (Iksan 2nd); Kim Kyung-jin (Iksan 3rd); Han Jung-soo (Iksan 4th); Kim Ju-taek (Gimje 1st); Kim Young-ja (Gimje 2nd); and Kim Chang-hyun (Buan).
The primaries were decided 100% by votes from registered party members.
The committee will next hold the Jeonju 7th district primary between Lee Byung-chul and Park Hyung-bae, after which the provincial council district primaries will be complete.
