April 2026 Trot Star Rankings: Lim Young-woong Tops with 33.86% Growth in Brand Reputation

By Hyung-seok Choi — The Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute said that after analyzing 67,146,745 pieces of brand-related big data on trot singers collected between March 26 and April 26, Lim Young-woong ranked first in its April brand-reputation list for trot singers. Kim Yong-bin placed second, and Lee Chan-won was third.

The dataset was down 14.94% from the previous month’s total of 78,943,506. The institute calculated the reputation index by aggregating scores for engagement, media coverage, communication and community activity.

The April rankings listed Lim Young-woong in first place, followed by Kim Yong-bin and Lee Chan-won. The full top 15 were: Park Ji-hyun, Lee So-na, Park Seo-jin, Jang Yoon-jung, Jeon Yoo-jin, Hong Ji-yoon, Kang Jin, Ahn Seong-hoon, Young Tak, Son Tae-jin, Jin Sung and Lee Soo-yeon.

Lim Young-woong recorded 828,932 for engagement, 1,583,426 for media, 2,663,000 for communication and 2,832,399 for community, giving him a brand-reputation index of 7,907,758 — a 33.86% increase from March’s 5,907,539.

Kim Yong-bin’s brand-reputation index rose 25.80% to 3,053,527, while Lee Chan-won’s climbed 9.99% to 2,466,844.

Park Ji-hyun’s index jumped 45.81% to 2,209,745, whereas Lee So-na’s fell 36.10% from the previous month to 1,846,180.

Koo Chang-hwan, head of the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute, said the trot singer brand category saw brand consumption decline 36.71%, brand issues drop 33.13% and brand communication fall 9.23% compared with the previous month, while brand diffusion rose 5.53%.
