French sports retailer Decathlon opened a strategic store on the 5th floor of Yongsan I'Park Mall Fashion Park. The new location targets a surge in domestic interest in running and hiking and is being positioned as a central hub to elevate urban sports experiences.
The I'Park Mall Yongsan store gathers best-selling, high-performance gear for everyone—from beginners to seasoned athletes—offering top products at affordable prices.
On site, staff experts offer personalized consultations tailored to each customer's body type and training goals. A direct connection to Yongsan Station means commuters and city hikers can easily gear up for activity without leaving town.
Decathlon intends to cultivate the Yongsan shop as a community hub for sports and social interaction. To that end, it will run local programs dubbed 'DecaRUNNERS' and 'DecaHIKERS.'
The opening coincides with the SS26 Running & Hiking campaign, a timing the company says will amplify both efforts. The store offers an ideal setting to try the campaign's flagship running shoes—Kipride Max, Kipstorm Challenger and Kipstorm Tempo—allowing customers to test the innovative models in person.
To mark the grand opening, Decathlon is rolling out a slate of promotions. Members who sign up and make purchases will receive first-come, first-served gifts, while select popular items will be discounted by up to 40 percent. Visitors can join a random-draw event, and the company will host interactive promotions through its official Instagram account.
