With the spring travel season underway, the initiative aims to attract overnight guests, revive the sluggish tourism industry and give the local economy a lift.

To qualify, participants must be registered residents living outside Sancheong County. If two or more people stay at least one night in Sancheong, they can receive up to 100,000 KRW (approximately 75.00 USD) in Sancheong Love gift certificates.
Eligibility requires at least one night at a local lodging, at least one meal at a local restaurant and a visit to a designated tourist site. Based on spending, visitors who spend 100,000 KRW (approximately 75.00 USD) or more receive a 50,000 KRW (approximately 37.50 USD) voucher, and those who spend 200,000 KRW (approximately 150.00 USD) or more receive a 100,000 KRW (approximately 75.00 USD) voucher.
Applications must be submitted at least two days before the trip begins; trips taken without prior application are not eligible for support.
This year, Sancheong County introduced an online application process using Naver Form to make participation easier. For details, check the notices section on the Sancheong County website or Sancheong Tourism social media, or contact the tourism marketing office.
The county expects the program to boost visits, stays and spending at major attractions like Hwangmaesan, Namsa Yedamchon and Donguibogam Village. It also plans to offer incentives through travel agencies to attract group tours and provide support for same-day visitors.
"We hope many people who meet the requirements will come enjoy Sancheong’s spring," said a county official. "We’re working to ensure that longer stays translate into tangible benefits for the local economy."
