Global K-pop platform Mnet Plus said the show's launch teaser, released on the 1st, surpassed 4.5 million views across major social channels — YouTube, Instagram and TikTok — within 24 hours. Teasers rolled out monthly since January have now accumulated over 15 million views, signaling strong public interest ahead of the premiere.
The teaser released on the 1st captures the members' joy at reuniting after seven years, striking an emotive chord with longtime fans. Viewers were particularly moved by the members' candid reactions to the surprise teaser first dropped on January 1.
Lee Dae-hwi recalled, \"When the New Year's teaser came out, I broke down in tears in front of the refrigerator,\" describing his overwhelming emotion. Kim Jae-hwan said he \"lost count\" of how many times he replayed the short clip, revealing a deep attachment. Hwang Min-hyun noted that he could feel how much people still miss WANNA ONE, and Park Woo-jin said, \"As expected, the Wannables loved it,\" expressing his affection for the fandom. Ha Sung-woon raised expectations for the group's return to reality TV, adding, \"When we meet in private, 'WANNA ONE GO' is the topic we talk about most.\"
The members fondly recalled classic WANNA ONE GO moments — from chicken fights to mafia games — agreeing that \"we really have to play mafia again.\" They also brainstormed activities for the new season, suggesting travel, workouts, pet introductions and extreme sports, underscoring the group's enduring chemistry.
Since January, Mnet Plus has been teasing the comeback on the first of each month at 11:11 a.m., each drop hinting at the group's return. The campaign opened with the message \"Let's meet again,\" followed by heartfelt notes to Wannables and archival footage, effectively reviving WANNA ONE's narrative and generating a warm response from long-waiting fans.
Riding the momentum from its teasers, WANNA ONE GO: Back to Base will document the members reuniting after seven years at a new \"Wanna Base.\" The series follows them as they laugh, play and create new memories, deepening their bond. More than a reunion, the reality show is positioned as the start of a fresh chapter for WANNA ONE.
WANNA ONE's reality series, which aims to thrill Wannables worldwide, will premiere on April 28 at 6 p.m. on Mnet Plus and will be broadcast on Mnet at 8 p.m.
