Television personality Jeon Hyun-moo returns as host of JTBC's Hidden Singer for its eighth season.
JTBC's Hidden Singer 8 (creator Hong Sang-hoon, director Shin Young-gwang) is a concept-driven music series that pits Korea's top singers against impressionists who can replicate their voices and singing techniques with uncanny accuracy.
Since its 2012 debut with Season 1, Hidden Singer has become a staple, renewing seasons and building a devoted audience. The program is known for explosive performances by original artists and for showcasing impersonators whose skill sometimes leads to jaw-dropping upsets. Legendary acts such as Lee Moon-sae, Lim Jae-beom, Lee Seung-hwan, Shin Seung-hoon, Lee So-ra, Yang Hee-eun, PSY, Uhm Jung-hwa and IU have all delivered memorable stages — and, on occasion, talented imitators have outshone the originals. Notably, Young Tak, who appeared as an impersonator in Season 2, returned as an original performer in Season 7, surprising viewers.

Returning four years after Season 7, Season 8 aims for heightened production values. The newly released poster frames longtime MC Jeon Hyun-moo in an archer's stance, his gaze razor-sharp. Rather than a pointed arrowhead, the arrow is capped with a microphone — a visual hint that this season will aim straight for viewers' hearts as they guess which performances belong to impersonators and which to the original singers.
The slogan “Are you ready to be struck by eternal emotion and immortal fun?” raises the pulse of fans who have been eagerly awaiting Season 8. The number 8 behind Jeon signifies the eighth season and evokes the infinity symbol (∞), promising boundless entertainment, emotion and exhilarating surprises from the stage.
Even from its poster, Hidden Singer 8 is already drawing attention. The season will feature legendary original artists including Shim Soo-bong, Kim Jang-hoon, Kim Hyun-jung, Jung In, Lee Seung-gi, Younha, Davichi's Lee Hae-ri, Ha Hyun-woo and 10CM, matched against powerful impersonators poised to deliver high-energy performances.
JTBC's Hidden Singer 8 premieres on the 31st at 8:50 p.m.
