[Sports Today reporter Kim Tae-hyung] K-pop group ENHYPEN will continue as a six-member group — Jungwon, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo and Ni-ki — after member Heeseung steps away from the team to pursue a solo career.

On the 10th, Belift Lab confirmed Heeseung's decision to transition to solo work and published a personal statement from the artist.

In the statement, Heeseung acknowledged that many ENGENE — the group's fandom — were likely shocked and curious about the sudden news. He reflected on the past six years as an overwhelmingly precious period filled with moments he cannot fully put into words. He credited his bandmates and the fans for helping him take \"step after step\" toward a dream that once felt out of reach.

Heeseung added that he will never forget those moments and that he intends to remain one of ENHYPEN's staunchest supporters. He said he and the company reviewed his solo work and spent considerable time discussing how best to present it to fans. After long reflection, he decided to follow the direction proposed by Belift Lab to appear before ENGENE in a stronger, more developed form.

He acknowledged fans' worries and said he is working hard to prepare to meet them again as soon as possible. He expressed sincere regret for any shock or concern the announcement may have caused and promised to carry ENGENE's love with him as he moves forward.

Below is Heeseung's full statement.

Hello, this is Heeseung.

First, I know many ENGENE were probably very surprised to hear this news, and many of you must be curious about such a sudden announcement.

That's why I wanted to speak directly to ENGENE.

The six years I spent have been filled with moments so overwhelming and precious that words alone can't capture them.

Thanks to my members, who shared countless emotions with me, and to ENGENE, who always filled every empty space, I was able to take step after step toward a dream that once felt unreachable.

Those times will be among the brightest, most unforgettable moments of my life.

I will never forget them, and I want to remain someone who cheers for ENHYPEN above all else.

I shared the work I've done with the company and spent a long time discussing how best to present it.

After much thought, I made the decision to follow the direction proposed by the company so I can show a better version of myself to ENGENE.

As many of you know, I've continued personal projects and devoted significant time to creating things I hoped to share with ENGENE.

There was so much I wanted to show, but I also didn't want to put my own ambitions ahead of the team.

I know your worries and the many conversations around this. I'll work hard to prepare so I can meet you again as soon as possible.

My desire to show you an even better me is heartfelt and sincere.

Because ENGENE has always shown me endless love and support, I feel deeply sorry that this news may have surprised or worried you.

I believe those reactions come from how much you've cared for me.

I'll carry the great love ENGENE has given me in my heart as I move forward.

ENGENE!

Thank you and I love you.
