New York Post interview: "We'll know within 24 hours"
In a phone interview with the New York Post on the 10th, Trump was asked whether he expected the talks to succeed. "We'll know in about 24 hours," he replied. He said U.S. forces are "resetting" and that ships are being loaded with top‑tier ammunition and the finest weapons ever produced. Trump added that these systems are at a far higher level than those used in past operations of "complete destruction," and warned, "If an agreement doesn't happen, we will use them very effectively." He also questioned the other side's credibility: "We're dealing with people whose truthfulness we can't verify. In front of us they say they'll eliminate all nuclear weapons; in front of the press they say, 'We want enrichment.'"
The U.S. delegation expected at the in‑person cease‑fire talks on the 11th includes Vice President JD Vance, Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff, and Jared Kushner, the president's eldest son‑in‑law.
