The Washington Post reported that a U.S. diplomatic facility in Baghdad came under a drone attack.

On the 10th (local time), the newspaper said the Baghdad Diplomatic Support Center (BDSC), a U.S. diplomatic logistics facility near Baghdad International Airport, was struck by six drones. Air defenses shot down five; one impacted near a guard tower.

The U.S. State Department ordered an evacuation of nonessential personnel and is assessing the damage. A security official said militias aligned with the pro‑Iran Iraqi Islamic Resistance (IRI) are suspected of carrying out the attack.

Iraq's Defense Ministry said it would pursue those responsible decisively.

The U.S. Department of Defense said that, amid recent Iranian strikes and subsequent drone and missile reprisals, seven U.S. service members have been killed and about 140 wounded.
