(The CEN News / Reporter Yang Hyung-ju) The feature film Detective Conan: The Last Wizard of the Century will arrive first for fans with a series of premiere screenings accompanied by stage greetings.
'Detective Conan: The Last Wizard of the Century' pits master thief Kaito Kid against Conan in a race to secure the Romanov dynasty's legendary "Memories Egg." The animated thriller is drawing attention in South Korea as the first title in the classic Detective Conan re-release series to receive a newly recorded dub.
CGV will host premiere screenings nationwide over the weekend of the 21st and 22nd. Showings are scheduled at major CGV locations including Yongsan I'Park Mall, Yeongdeungpo Times Square, Wangsimni, Gangnam, Hongdae, Gwangju Geumnam-ro, Daegu Hanil, Daejeon Terminal, Seomyeon, Ulsan Samsan, Incheon, and Cheonan Terminal.
After the screenings, attendees will receive the third collectible in the classic re-release series: a special ticket and a ticket holder, following releases tied to Detective Conan: The Time-Bombed Skyscraper and Detective Conan: The Fourteenth Target. The ticket holder is designed so only Conan is visible; when you slide the ticket out, the main poster image is revealed—an effect meant to echo the film's theme of uncovering the hidden truth behind the Memories Egg. A holographic finishing touch boosts its appeal for collectors.
On the 21st, CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall will host stage greetings at every premiere screening. Voice actors Kim Sun-hye (Conan), Kang Su-jin (Shinichi), and Shin Yong-woo (Kaito Kid) will appear in person to meet fans. The event celebrates the new dubbing, and with these signature Detective Conan voices on hand, strong fan turnout is expected.
Tickets for the premiere screenings and the stage greetings on the 21st will go on sale in phases starting on the 12th.
Meanwhile, Detective Conan: The Last Wizard of the Century opens exclusively at CGV on the 27th in a 4K remastered edition.
