Global leisure-sports brand O'Neill announced it has named K-pop boy group The Wind as its exclusive models for the new season.
The Wind will serve as O'Neill's exclusive models for the 25SS season. The six-member group debuted in May 2023. Their lead single from the third mini-album, "Nice to Meet You, My First Love," released last October, topped real-time streaming charts and hit No. 1 on major broadcast music shows, earning widespread attention.
Following the announcement, O'Neill will begin rolling out the 25SS campaign shoot featuring The Wind starting in March. The campaign photos pair the group's fresh, bright energy with the mood of O'Neill's spring collection, stylishly blending casual vibes with functional design.
For the campaign, O'Neill spotlights gorp-core — outdoor-inspired pieces styled in a casual, lived-in way — and will unveil new items tailored to the lifestyles of Millennials and Gen Z.
Gorp-core has been gaining traction for its blend of trendy aesthetics and practicality, as interest in eco-friendly outdoor gear grows and younger consumers favor a seamless mix of outdoor function and everyday style.
An O'Neill spokesperson said, "We chose The Wind because they align with O'Neill's identity as a global leisure-sports brand committed to sustainability. We plan to host a variety of new events with The Wind."
