[Sports Seoul | Reporter Bae Woo-geun] Singer Lim Young-woong has set another record with his second studio album, IM HERO 2.

On the 25th, South Korea’s streaming platform Melon reported that IM HERO 2 surpassed 1.1 billion cumulative streams roughly eight months after its release.

The milestone is notable because it reflects sustained, album-wide success rather than the dominance of a single hit. IM HERO 2 comprises 11 tracks, and steady streaming across the entire record boosted its overall total.

Lim has already demonstrated formidable streaming power on Melon. On the 11th of last month, he surpassed BTS to become the platform’s all-time leader in cumulative streams.

The album’s rise past 1.1 billion streams reflects both the cohesion of his fanbase and broad public consumption. Support from the fandom Yeong-woong Sidae, combined with consistent, album-level listening, helped sustain the record’s long run.

Meanwhile, Lim will stage IM HERO - THE STADIUM 2 at Goyang Sports Complex in September, where he will meet fans.
