She recently published the debut episode on her channel, Gaeul's Temperature.
In a \"Get 2 Know Me?\" segment titled \"Kim Gaeul Briefing,\" she introduced herself to viewers. Gaeul assembled a 2026 vision board, outlined her goals and, using personal photos, opened up about her hobbies and everyday interests.
For the first image on the vision board, she chose a photo of IVE, saying, \"IVE is my whole life,\" a remark that underscored her devotion to the group. She then pinned a photo of herself and surprised viewers by naming reading as her favorite pastime. Gaeul, who said she reads broadly across genres, recalled picking the first book of the year carefully — \"Since it was the book to start the year, I wanted it to be a good one.\" She even checked others' year-end reading roundups, she added, demonstrating her enthusiasm for books. She continued by discussing favorite foods and sharing personal recipes, offering a window into her tastes and daily routine.

She also reflected on her first appearance on Netflix's Death Game: Bet 10 million KRW (about $7,500 USD; hereafter Death Game). Gaeul admitted she grew more nervous as the match approached, but once play began she felt her confidence rise. \"I told myself I'd go as far as I could,\" she said, recalling how she kept pushing herself throughout the competition.
Gaeul shared behind-the-scenes details about her first solo song, \"Odd.\" The track, which debuted during IVE's second world tour, SHOW WHAT I AM, last October, features lyrics Gaeul helped write. She said she wanted the song to carry her personal reflections, explaining that she hoped to convey how anxious, imperfect moments can still shine. She also demonstrated artistic involvement beyond songwriting — she hunted down outfit references and sent them to the team, among other creative contributions.
Gaeul discussed what she hopes the channel, Gaeul's Temperature, will offer viewers. \"When I launched the YouTube channel, I wanted to create content people could watch comfortably while doing other things,\" she said. \"I started it hoping viewers could find a little healing.\" At the video's end she wrote a goal for the channel this year — 1 million views — and teased a variety of future segments, from reading and cooking to travel, all infused with her personal sensibility.
On the 10th, Gaeul appeared on Netflix's Death Game, scored consecutive wins and signaled an attempt at a three-match winning streak. With IVE having recently wrapped promotions for their second studio album REVIVE+, observers are watching closely to see the different directions Gaeul's career may take.
Meanwhile, new episodes of Gaeul's solo channel, Gaeul's Temperature, are scheduled to drop every Wednesday at 9 PM.
