The community-focused performance series YogiJogi Concerts, staged across Incheon, returns to neighborhoods this year. Free and open to all, the program showcases a range of musical styles and has expanded both its venues and lineup.

Incheon City and the Incheon Cultural Foundation said they will officially launch the 2026 YogiJogi Concerts on April 29. The initiative aims to broaden cultural access by bringing live music into everyday urban spaces throughout the city.

Now in its third year since its 2024 debut, the series has delivered hundreds of performances and helped energize the local cultural scene. Shows staged in streets, plazas and parks have resonated with residents, making the series a hallmark of community arts programming.

About 300 groups applied this year; a panel selected 70 to serve as "Music Ambassadors." The chosen acts—ranging from pop and jazz to classical and traditional Korean music—will offer residents a wide variety of listening experiences.

The opening performance is set for noon on April 29 at the outdoor plaza in front of Incheon City Hall. The inaugural group, which reinterprets film scores and pop songs in a jazz idiom, will present a relaxed set. In May, the series will continue at outdoor stages at the civic center, on city streets and at cultural venues.

This year also brings program expansion. Organizers will hold two "YogiJogi Day" events—one in each half of the year—so audiences can see multiple acts in a single venue. The spring edition, scheduled for May at Incheon Art Platform, will pair performances with hands-on activities to encourage public participation.

The Incheon Cultural Foundation said it aims to create an environment where anyone can access music regardless of time or place. A foundation official said, "We will continue to expand programming so people can naturally enjoy culture in their daily lives."
