As tensions between the United States, Israel and Iran persist, a drone strike near Dubai International Airport in the United Arab Emirates injured four people.

The Dubai Government Media Office said on X on March 11 (local time) that two drones fell near the airport, injuring two Ghanaians, one Bangladeshi and one Indian.

Despite the incident, the office said flights continued to operate normally.

Authorities did not identify the attackers but said the drones were likely launched from Iran.

While the airport has faced cancellations and delays amid Iran’s recent retaliatory campaign, officials said it had not previously been directly struck by missiles or drones.

The United Arab Emirates has been among the countries most frequently targeted in the region.
