Industry sources say that around 2:30 p.m., some users encountered a message in Google Search stating, "An internal server error appears to have occurred while processing the request. Engineers are working to resolve the issue." Search results failed to load, and users were prompted to "Please try again later."
Users on social media platforms, including X (formerly Twitter), posted reports such as "Google Search isn't working" and "My internet's fine but Google is down."
By 3 p.m., Google Search was operating normally again. Google has not confirmed the exact cause of the outage.
