Comedian Lee Su-ji's YouTube channel, 'Hot Issue J,' warned that scammers have been impersonating its staff and urged the public to remain vigilant.
On the 13th, Hot Issue J posted on its YouTube community page that it had confirmed recent instances of people posing as channel staff to contact individuals privately or to arrange meetings.
The channel said all appearance and collaboration inquiries are handled through its official email or verified representatives. It does not request personal information, photos, or other materials from unverified contacts, nor does it pressure people into in-person meetings.
The statement asked anyone who received contact claiming to be from Hot Issue J to verify the message through the channel’s official email.
It also urged extra caution to avoid falling victim to similar scams and thanked those who reported suspicious activity.
