[Sports Seoul | Reporter Yoon Dong-eon] Singer Lim Young-woong has extended his unconventional slate of projects by appearing in a production from YouTube’s most-subscribed channel.
On April 19, MrBeast’s official channel published a video built around the premise “Stay in the store until the end and win $250,000 (approximately 333,333,333 KRW).” The challenge followed a survival format, with contestants confined to a single space and competing to be the last person standing.
In the video, Lim provided the Korean-language voiceover for one contestant. The collaboration was reportedly arranged through his connection with voice actor Nam Do-hyung.
MrBeast’s channel, which boasts over 400 million subscribers, has pursued global expansion through multilingual dubbing and subtitles; Lim’s involvement aligns with that localization strategy.
As of April 21, the video had surpassed 64.9 million views.
The clip is available on MrBeast’s channel, and Lim is expected to share related content on his social media. hellboy321@sportsseoul.com
