[EPN NPinow reporter Go Nari] Yoo In-young addressed online doubts about the authenticity of a pre-owned designer watch she recently purchased.

On the 14th, she uploaded a video to her 'Inyoung Inyoung' channel documenting a trip to get a Chanel watch authenticated. The video was titled, "My watch is fake? So I went to get it authenticated."

In the clip, Yoo explains she decided to seek an in-person authentication after people online questioned the Chanel watch she bought on a resale platform for about ₩2.5 million (about $1,700).

She said she trusted the seller because the account held a 99% rating on the platform. Still, commenters warned that Chanel watches are among the most commonly counterfeited, and more than half of the people around her thought the watch looked fake.

At the authentication center, staff told her the fee was ₩120,000 (about $82), and she appeared surprised by the higher-than-expected cost. She stayed visibly anxious while waiting for the verdict, clearly hoping the watch would be real.

The watch was confirmed genuine. The authenticator pointed to the Chanel engravings and the internal movement as proof. Yoo sighed with relief, saying, "I trusted that seller from the start," and expressed pride in having bought it for ₩2.5 million (about $1,700).

Viewers chimed in with comments like, "She’s lucky," "Glad it's authentic," "Looks like the platform's ratings are trustworthy," and "Always be careful when buying luxury items."
