[MyDaily = Reporter Bang Geum-suk] Lotte Department Store announced on May 10 that it will stage the department store industry’s first "Tumbler Festival."

The move is part of a push to position tumblers as a lifestyle product, responding to rising coffee consumption and a growing community of runners.

The Tumbler Festival will run at Lotte Department Store locations nationwide from May 10 through June 11, with roughly 20 brands taking part.

Through May 19, Hydro Flask will operate its first pop-up in Asia on the first-floor atrium of Lotte World Mall in Seoul.

At the pop-up, Hydro Flask will introduce in Korea the full 11-piece lineup of its ultra-compact 200 mL Micro Hydro model (about 6.8 fl oz) for the first time. The brand will also unveil new 2026 colorways for its Wide Flex series.

Lotte organized the event after noting expanding demand for tumblers. Sales of in-store tumbler brands such as Thermos and Legot rose about 60% last year, and the customer base has broadened from college students in their 20s and 30s to working adults in their 40s and 50s.

The festival will include a decorate-your-tumbler activity zone and engraving services. Stores nationwide will offer popular tumblers from about 20 brands—including Thermos, Legot, and On The Go—at discounts of up to 80%.

A Lotte Department Store spokesperson said, "Tumblers have become both everyday essentials and items of personal taste. We will continue to scout diverse tumbler brands and develop them as strategic merchandise."
