Every spring, cherry blossoms and bright yellow canola steal the spotlight along a beloved stretch in Busan.

Oncheoncheon Cafe Street in Anrak-dong, Dongnae District, has become one of Busan’s must-visit spots since the mid-2010s, when local homes were lovingly converted into cozy cafes and restaurants.
The area used to be a polluted stream. City efforts to remove concrete and build a riverside promenade transformed it into a peaceful public escape where locals come to relax.
For roughly 5.6 km (about 3.5 miles) along the stream, pink cherry blossoms burst into bloom, creating a stunning canopy. What makes Oncheoncheon stand out is its layered color story—you get pale pink blossoms overhead and waves of yellow canola underfoot, all at once.

Many of the cafes still show their residential roots, which is why second-floor terraces are so common. Grab a window seat upstairs and you can practically reach for the cherry blossom clusters while watching people meander through the canola below. When night falls, soft walkway lights bathe the blossoms and flowers, creating a dreamy, almost otherworldly vibe.
Visiting the cafe street is free any time, but narrow alleys and big crowds can make parking tricky. Use the public lot at Anrak Station or the lots at Dongnae Station or Gyodae Station; each is about a 10–12 minute walk from the cafe street.

If you’re taking public transit, exit Anrak Station on the Donghae Line at Exit 1 and walk about 10 minutes. You can also access the Oncheoncheon promenade directly from Gyodae Station (Line 1) or Nakmin Station (Line 4).
If you’d rather pedal, leave your ID at the Oncheoncheon bike rental under Oncheon Footbridge No. 2 and enjoy two hours of free riding. The rental desk is open from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
