Samsung Wallet (formerly Samsung Pay) now lets you store boarding passes, attraction tickets and more all in one place. With a Galaxy phone that supports Wallet, travelers should be able to handle payments, transit and sightseeing—at home or abroad—using a single device.

On the 27th, Samsung announced Samsung Wallet Trips, a new feature designed to reinvent travel for Galaxy users.

Samsung Wallet Trips brings together travel essentials—boarding passes, hotel reservations, and theme-park or sports event tickets—inside the Samsung Wallet app so everything you need is in one spot.

The feature consolidates travel details that were previously scattered across multiple apps and platforms, making the whole experience much more convenient.

Create a trip entry in Samsung Wallet and use the Trip Timeline to view your itinerary by time and location. You can add detailed plans and use the notes feature to save links or other info, so building a clean, organized itinerary is simple.

Samsung has partnered with global providers so hotel and flight confirmations, as well as activity and tour tickets, can be added directly to Samsung Wallet. The company plans to expand these partnerships to offer even more travel content over time.

Built on Samsung Knox, Samsung Wallet Trips protects your data with encryption and biometric authentication so only the device owner can access travel information.

Galaxy users can expect to manage essentials—from payments to ticketing—more securely and conveniently within a single app.

Samsung said it will continue to strengthen its digital-life ecosystem by rolling out differentiated features like Samsung Wallet Trips that make everyday life smoother.

Chae Won-chul, vice president and head of the Digital Wallet team in Samsung Electronics' MX division, said, "Samsung Wallet Trips will help Galaxy users manage travel information smartly so they can focus only on enjoying their trips."{vi27}
