The ceremony announced that the Daesan-myeon Park Golf course has been officially recognized as a facility meeting national standards and aimed to raise the venue’s profile. About 30 people attended, including Acting Mayor Jang Geum-yong, the acting chair of the Changwon Facilities Corporation, and representatives from the Korea Park Golf Association.

Daesan-myeon earned its certification in November after passing the Korea Park Golf Association’s rigorous on-site inspection and review. The certification covers two courses with a combined 36 holes and is valid for three years through November 2028. That officially qualifies the facility to host national-level park golf tournaments.
