[Korea Financial News reporter Shin Hye-ju] Jin Air (CEO Park Byung-ryul) marked the start of two new routes on the 2nd with launch ceremonies at Gimhae International Airport and Jeju International Airport, beginning full operations for services to Miyakojima and Hong Kong.

The celebrations were attended by Jin Air executives and staff. The airline presented bouquets to the flight and cabin crew on the inaugural flights, snapped commemorative photos and affirmed its commitment to safe operations.

Jin Air will operate the Busan~Miyakojima route exclusively, twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays. Flights depart Gimhae Airport at 2:45 PM and arrive at the destination at 5:00 PM local time.

By offering a direct connection to Miyakojima—previously only reachable via Okinawa—Jin Air expects travel to become much more convenient for people in the Yeongnam region (southeastern Korea).

The Jeju~Hong Kong service departs Jeju Airport daily at 9:30 PM. The return flight leaves Hong Kong at 2:00 AM local time the next day and lands in Jeju at 6:05 AM.

The carrier anticipates the route will attract more tourists from Hong Kong while also appealing to Jeju residents looking for quick, after-work getaways.

Tickets are available on the Jin Air website, via the mobile app and mobile web, or through the customer service center. These new routes include a complimentary checked baggage allowance of 15kg.

A Jin Air spokesperson said, \"With these new services based in Busan and Jeju, we’re offering local residents more diverse and convenient air links. We will continue to leverage our differentiated route strengths to help activate regional hub airports and support the growth of the tourism industry.\"
