
[MyDaily = Reporter Geum-suk Bang] Hana Tour announced on the 16th that it has made a strategic investment (SI) in car-themed travel company PPT Tour, acquiring a 16% stake and becoming the second-largest shareholder.
PPT Tour designs and runs premium car and motorsports-themed travel packages built around luxury-brand driving programs and events such as the F1 Grand Prix.
Hana Tour said the investment marks its official entry into the luxury car-themed travel market. It plans to expand its offerings to meet the experience-focused travel trend and strengthen its premium product lineup.
The company will showcase PPT Tour’s flagship packages under Hana Tour’s high-end brand, Zeus World, and develop co-curated itineraries, luxury driving tours, and exclusive products that make use of F1 tickets.
Their first joint offering is a 4-day Singapore Grand Prix Tour departing in October. The premium itinerary features the F1’s only night city race, a dinner at a Michelin-starred restaurant, and stays at top luxury hotels.
Booked customers will be entered into a drawing for upgrades for three winning teams (six people): two teams will receive hotel suite upgrades, and one team will get business-class airfare upgrades.
A Hana Tour spokesperson said, "Interest in the F1 Grand Prix and luxury driving tours is growing, which is expanding the growth potential of the luxury car-themed travel market. Through this investment, we will strengthen our competitiveness in the premium themed-travel sector and continue to expand differentiated, high-value offerings."
