Limited-edition gifts for stamp collectors and ploggers

On the 30th, the Korea Maritime and Ocean Safety Authority announced that, in partnership with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, it will fully launch the "Island Tourism Revitalization Project" next month.
The spring program runs from April 1 through May 31 and features three West Coast islands: Guleopdo in Incheon, Oeyeondo off Boryeong in South Chungcheong, and Gwanrido near Gunsan in North Jeolla.
Visitors take a passenger ferry to each island and check in on the Authority’s "Island Tourism Platform" to earn a verification stamp — one per island, up to three.
The first 500 qualifying participants — determined by stamp count and visit dates — will receive limited-edition island magnet souvenirs.

Each island makes a compelling spring escape. Guleopdo — often called "Korea’s Galápagos" — is a haven for wildlife and a backcountry backpacking favorite; Oeyeondo is renowned for its stunning spring vistas; and Gwanrido offers a developed campground and hands-on outdoor activities.
The Authority plans to expand the program beyond spring, adding history and culture tours in summer and culinary and marine-leisure experiences in fall.
