Special sale: 1,000 limited Bay Valley package tickets linking Gyeonggi and South Chungcheong

이미지 Gyeonggi Province rolled out the Gyeonggi Tour Pass on the 27th to help residents save on outings during May’s Family Month and the busy spring holiday period (Golden Week).

The Gyeonggi Tour Pass is a budget-friendly, all-access ticket that lets you visit roughly 130 attractions across the province with a single pass—priced in the 20,000 KRW range (approximately $15.00).

First launched in 2023, the Gyeonggi Tour Pass goes on sale this year at 11:00 a.m. on the 27th. The pass grants access to around 130 spots—tourist sites, hands-on experience centers, cafes and more—spread over 31 cities and counties. The 24-hour pass is 26,900 KRW (approximately $20.18), and the 48-hour pass is 35,900 KRW (approximately $26.93), making it cheaper than visiting three or four attractions separately.

Gyeonggi plans to expand participating venues to 200 by the end of the year. Buyers can get mobile tickets from about 10 major online platforms—including Naver Smart Store, Gmarket, Auction, Coupang, MyRealTrip and Yanolja—and use them immediately without needing a separate reservation.

On the 28th at 11:00 a.m., Gyeonggi will launch the Bay Valley Tour Pass, a super-regional travel product linking southern Gyeonggi and northern Chungcheongnam-do. Now in its second year, the program first introduced a Pick-Your-Landmark Package that lets buyers choose two sites from more than 20 key attractions across the two regions, giving travelers more flexibility ahead of the main launch. To celebrate the release, Gyeonggi is offering a Naver Smart Store special: a limited run of 1,000 tickets at 13,900 KRW (approximately $10.43), a 2,000 KRW ($1.50) discount from the regular price of 15,900 KRW (approximately $11.93). Check the Gyeonggi Tour Pass website for full details.

Go Young-mi, director of Gyeonggi’s Tourism Industry Division, said, “We’ll keep adding participating facilities and improving usability so residents can explore every corner of Gyeonggi more fully and affordably with a single Tour Pass. Because the Bay Valley Tour Pass is a joint project between Gyeonggi and Chungcheongnam-do, we’ll do everything we can to help it become a lasting new travel culture that connects the two regions.”
