Asiana Airlines launches new Incheon–Budapest route
To celebrate the new service, Asiana held a launch event at Terminal 2 of Incheon International Airport on the 3rd.
Attendees included Park Jong-man, head of Asiana’s Passenger Division; Szerdahelyi István, Hungary’s ambassador to South Korea; Medvigy István, director of the Hungarian Cultural Center in Seoul; and Kim Tae-seong, head of Hub Strategy at Incheon International Airport Corporation.
The Incheon–Budapest flight departs Incheon at 12:35 p.m. and arrives in Budapest at 6:05 p.m. local time.
The return flight departs Budapest at 8:00 p.m. local time and arrives in Incheon at 1:35 p.m. the next day. Asiana will operate an A350 on the route, configured with 311 seats (28 business, 283 economy).
Budapest, Hungary’s capital, is often called the “Paris of Eastern Europe” for its striking architecture and deep cultural heritage. A Central European political and economic hub, it draws visitors to the UNESCO-listed Danube riverside, the Parliament building and the Széchenyi Chain Bridge.
An Asiana spokesperson said, “Launching the Budapest route strengthens our network with key European hubs. We will focus on dependable operations and distinctive service to maximize customer satisfaction.”
