The DMO Development Support Project systematically identifies and develops local tourism resources and builds cooperative networks with private tourism businesses to boost tourism competitiveness.

Judges pointed to the foundation’s results from last year’s Dinosaur Country Universe and Goseong Marketing Booster projects when making their decision. Dinosaur Country Universe turned Goseong County’s dinosaur heritage into tourism offerings—developing merchandise designs and food and beverage (F&B) recipes—while Goseong Marketing Booster focused on strengthening local businesses’ online promotion skills and building networks to encourage visitors to stay longer.
Both projects were praised for reinforcing the local tourism ecosystem by leveraging community resources. Thanks to the evaluation, the foundation was selected again for the 2026 DMO program and will receive national funding for the second year in a row.
The Goseong Cultural Tourism Foundation plans to roll out phased growth-support programs to boost local tourism businesses’ capabilities and to pursue branding initiatives that expand its dinosaur-themed brand.
A foundation official said, “Being named an Outstanding DMO reflects our hard work in uncovering local tourism assets and building cooperative networks. We will continue working with local tourism stakeholders to create a sustainable tourism ecosystem.”
