A hands-on music program that uses artificial intelligence to help participants create original songs is opening locally. Art Center Dal (6th floor of the Dalgubeol Credit Union main branch) will present a weekly lecture-and-performance series, "AI, AGI Era: I, Too, Can Be a Smart Lyricist and Composer," every Thursday at 2:00 p.m. from the 7th through Nov. 12.
The Suseong Cultural Foundation is mounting the program as part of its 2026 Small Cultural Space Creation and Support Project.
Participants will work across genres — including art song, folk and trot — and will write lyrics and compose music themselves. A Korean poet will guide the lyric-writing sessions, while an AI specialist will lead smartphone-based composition workshops so attendees can complete their own original songs.
The course emphasizes using AI to translate personal stories into music. After the 10-session program, participants will showcase their finished pieces in a public concert.
The Suseong Cultural Foundation and Dalgubeol Credit Union sponsor the course and performance; the entire program is free. For more information, call 053-267-6111
