By Jung Hye-won, SPOTV News — NCT's Taeyong broadens his musical reach on his debut solo studio album, WYLD.
On the 8th, SM Entertainment said Taeyong will present a boundless musical range with his first full-length release.
WYLD, due on the 18th, is a 10-track album led by its title song, "WYLD." Taeyong says the record will reveal a wider musical palette.
The track "Hypnotic" mixes jazz and breakbeat to create a loose, freewheeling hip-hop groove and highlights Taeyong's addictive hook.
"Run" moves into propulsive pop–alternative rock territory, driven by racing drums, crisp handclaps and intense overdriven riffs. Backed by a bandlike sound, Taeyong's clear, powerful vocals are expected to stand out.
Taeyong completed his military service last December, finishing his term as a publicity corporal with the Navy's honor guard band. As his first release since discharge—and his first solo full-length album—expectations for WYLD are high.
