[Herald Muse reporter Park Seo-hyun] MONSTA X opened their Asia tour with a triumphant show in Bangkok.

The group performed on the 7th (local time) at Thunderdome Muang Thong Thani for the 2026 MONSTA X WORLD TOUR [THE X : NEXUS] IN BANGKOK.

The concert marked the first Asian stop of MONSTA X’s new 2026 world tour, THE X : NEXUS, and their first solo concert in Thailand in roughly seven years since the 2019 WE ARE HERE world tour.

Amid cheers from MONBEBEs who had waited years for the return, MONSTA X opened with a show-stopping performance of "DRAMARAMA." They then moved into title tracks "Love Killa" and "Rush Hour," reaffirming the group’s signature sound, before ramping up the energy with "LONE RANGER" and "Catch Me Now."

The members greeted Thai fans in Thai, reflecting the time they’d spent practicing the language and creating an immediate connection with the audience. A stand-mic rendition of "MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT" delivered a poignant moment, followed by the contrasting tones of "Deny" and "AND." They also treated the crowd to selections from last September’s mini album THE X—"Do What I Want" and "N the Front"—and performed Joohoney’s self-composed "Tuscan Leather" in Thailand for the first time, pushing the show to its peak.

The momentum carried into solo stages. Shownu filled the arena with presence on "Around & Go." Kihyun showcased powerful vocals and charisma on "Howling." Hyungwon delivered a sleek, dreamlike performance of "NO AIR," while Minhyuk moved fans with a guitar-accompanied "Reaching." Joohoney closed the solo segment with intense raps on his recent second solo mini-album tracks "STING (Feat. Muhammad Ali)" and "Until My Head Touches the Sky (Feat. Tiger JK)."

A medley of title tracks—beginning with "Autobahn" and continuing through "Beautiful Liar," "Alligator" and "Shoot Out"—elicited explosive responses from the crowd. The group then moved into the audience to get closer to fans, and amid a sea of lightsticks they brought the night to an emotional close with "Fire & Ice."

Through their agency Starship Entertainment, MONSTA X said, "Returning to Thailand after seven years was especially moving. The cheers and energy felt as strong as ever. We were truly touched that MONBEBEs prepared events for us; their warmth will help us launch the rest of the tour with even more momentum. Fueled by the energy from this show, we’ll keep delivering impressive and varied performances—please look forward to and support them."

Following the Bangkok kickoff, MONSTA X will continue THE X : NEXUS Asia tour in Malaysia on the 28th.
