How KNCO‘s ’Accessible Concert' is Bringing Classical Music to Patients and Staff at Sejong Hospital

Sejong Chungnam National University Hospital offered patients, visitors, medical staff, and employees a restorative and moving experience with a high-caliber classical performance.

On the 21st, the hospital hosted the National Symphony Concert Orchestra (KNCO) for a "Visiting Concert" in the main lobby on the first floor of the main building.

The KNCO ensemble (string quartet—violins Kim Min-jung · Ga Ji-seon, viola Shin Sang-min, cello Jang Ye-eun) delivered a memorable performance that resonated with patients and hospital staff.

The group presented a crowd-friendly set of familiar classical favorites, drawing enthusiastic responses from the audience.

The program featured about ten pieces, beginning with Mozart's Eine kleine Nachtmusik, K.525; Vivaldi's "Spring" from The Four Seasons; Scott Joplin's "The Entertainer"; Astor Piazzolla's "Adiós Nonino"; Shostakovich's Waltz No. 2; and Frank Sinatra's "My Way," among others.

KNCO was founded in 2025 as an ensemble of young musicians between the ages of 19 and 39. The orchestra has made Sejong Arts Center its resident venue and is based in the Sejong region.
