Ji Su-yeon released the single 'Blue Screen' and its music video on streaming platforms on the 29th. The track uses the blue-screen concept to probe identity confusion and emotional shutdown, capturing the hollow sensation of slowly eroding from your own life — as if a piece of you has been left behind and you’ve drifted away.
Notably, Ji Su-yeon took part in writing and composing 'Blue Screen,' while producer Gureum collaborated on the lyrics, composition and arrangement to elevate the song’s craft. The song centers on that stunned, disoriented moment when everything seems to cut off; it relies on restrained sonics and spaciousness so Ji Su-yeon’s delicate vocals can inhabit the emotional void.
The music video opens with Ji Su-yeon wandering alone, her acting translating inner turmoil into visual form. Lines like “Did I leave myself behind as I passed by?” and “Where on earth did I leave myself?” align with the video’s moody imagery and deepen the viewer’s engagement.
