The single \"Like the First Day,\" due at noon on the 27th, is a poignant duet that highlights contrasting yet complementary styles. Jae Sera’s powerful, soulful delivery pairs with Airun’s contemporary, appealing tone to produce a seamless harmony.
In the chorus — \"I’ll look at you like the first day / … / I’ll hold you / erasing wounds and regrets / the only love was you\" — Jae Sera’s expressive performance brings the song’s steadfast, aching devotion into sharp relief.
Airun matches that emotion, singing lines such as \"I lost you to familiarity / Why didn’t I know then how precious you were,\" recalling love’s regrets and demonstrating strong vocal chemistry with Jae Sera.
Jae Sera, who debuted in 2010 with the single \"Lonely Night\" and has since been recognized as a skilled vocalist, joins forces with Airun, who made his mainstream entrance last May as the vocalist on \"Trauma,\" the ending theme for KBS2’s daily drama \"Queen’s House.\" Their collaboration has drawn industry attention.
The track was overseen by production team Urban Music, known for writing, composing and arranging for artists such as Sohyang, Kim Na-young, Lee Woo and Song Ha-ye, as well as for OSTs including the KakaoPage series \"The Admiral’s Monster Wife\" and the Naver Webtoon \"Weak Hero.\"
Yogurt Studio, which produced the single, described the song as a love ballad that blends Jae Sera’s signature emotional intensity — often earning her the nickname \"Queen of Emotion\" — with Airun’s modern sensibility.
