On March 30 local time, Iran and Lebanon’s Hezbollah carried out near-simultaneous strikes on the Israeli industrial port city of Haifa.

Israeli outlets reported that, in the afternoon, missiles struck distillation tanks at the Haifa refinery operated by the Bazan Group.

Debris from intercepted missiles fell onto a fuel tank and ignited a fire. Officials said there were no casualties and that the facility continued to operate normally.

This is the second reported attack on Haifa’s refinery.

Authorities have not confirmed the launch point of the missiles that struck the refinery.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said it struck targets across Israel, including Haifa. Hezbollah, in a separate statement, said it fired missiles at Haifa’s naval base and hit its targets.

The near-simultaneous strikes indicate that military coordination between Iran and Hezbollah remains active.
